This week, Nokia and SEGA Corporation announced a definitive agreement in which Nokia will acquire assets of Sega.com Inc., a subsidiary of SEGA. On Tuesday the companies announced this agreement, and forecasted it will further enhance online games and service offerings for the Nokia N-Gage(TM) game deck, as Sega.com's leading multi-player technology will now become an integral part of the Nokia N-Gage experience.

EA Creates New Development Studio in Montreal
Electronic Arts announced an initiative to create a game development sudio in Montreal, Quebec. The company is currently researching locations for the new facility and expects that the initial team will be moved in and busy researching new projects by the end of this year. Australian Amusement Industry Faces Tough Times
Leisure & Allied Industries, having been pioneers in the Australian amusement industry and the largest distributor have today announced that due to current economic conditions, from August 1 2003 they will no longer be providing machine sales, spare parts sales and repairs/maintenance to operators and the general public. An auction held by the company last week in Western Australia where they cleared spare parts and excess equipment was a signal of their intent to cease selling.
